Cycling Stimulus:  Fees are the same as last year!

Directions From Tucson take I-10 West to Exit 219.
From Phoenix take I-10 East to Exit 219.
Course A 20K or 40K out and back course. Run entirely on the Frontage Road with one highway overpass and a few dips as the only obstacles. This is the same course used in the Leura's Time Trial Series.
Particulars All USCF Rules apply.  Course closes after the first rider is off.   Any racer warming up on the course after the race starts will be disqualified. No Exceptions.

Online registration will close at Midnight (MST) Thursday, September 10, 2009  (if you do not have a home computer please go to your public library).

Awards Winners of each Category will receive a free Arizona State Championship jersey or certificate for reimbursement. Winners of a jersey must have a yearly USCF license.   One-Day license holders will not be eligible for a medal or a jersey. All racers must race in their own category.   No racing up or down categories.   USCF State Championship medals will be awarded to the top three racers in each category that hold yearly racing licenses.  

There is a special trophy to the fastest male and female and a cash prize of $200 will be awarded!

Pick up your number, sign your release and verify your license at Arizona Cyclist , Saturday, September 12th from 1 PM to 4 PM, or on race-day at the start line area.

First Rider Off at 7:00 AM.  There will be a 10 minute break between the 20KM cyclist and the 40 KM cyclist. Thirty-second intervals in the following Category order:

FAQ's NOTE:
Tri-Athletes and all cyclist must wear jersey with sleeves. Per the USA Cycling Rule Book. Sleeves-less Jersey/skin suit are not allowed.  From the Rule book:  1K2. Jerseys must be worn in all races and shall cover the shoulders.

Parking Parking for 2009 will be in the dirt lot North of the Bowlin Travel Center and Shell Gas Station, due to the regular lot being used completely by The Ashton Company for the widening of I-10. Again Please do not park in either of the pave lots at the Bowlin Dairy Queen or Bowlin Travel Center. In the Bowlin Travel Center lot PLEASE do not park near the concrete pad where the underground gas tanks are. NO PARKING on the Side of Frontage Road per Pinal County Sheriff - NO PARKING around the construction lot. Watch for PARKING Signs!
Race Number EACH RIDER MUST HAVE NUMBER PLACE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF BACK (or forehead).
Donate your Used Cycling Clothing There will be a bin at the registration desk, where you pick up your number, to donate your gently used cycling clothing.  The beneficiary is El Grupo  (http://elgrupocycling.org/ElGrupo/Home.html).  Thanks for your support.
Course Marking Start Line: Red/White/Blue Tape.
FINISH LINE: Is about 1/2 mile South of Start with White Tape Line.
Going South or outbound each 5 K is marked with a sign and White/Red tape lines.
NEW sign at 1 mile before turn around as it always seems like a 100 mile from the 15K to the turn.
Going North or on the home stretch 5 K signs with White/Blue tape lines.
1000 meters (1K) and 200 meters will have signs and White/Blue tape lines also.
Miscellaneous If you want please visit the two stores and buy a souvenir to take home as they are very nice to allow us to use their parking area or buy an ice cream cone!
