Directions |
Due to construction
on Sunland Gin Road, the Picacho Peak course will be the
venue for the Time Trial Championships. Please plan
accordingly.
Take I-10 to
Exit 219 and go the frontage road on the East side of the
freeway. Head South (right turn) to dirt parking area on your
right.
From Tucson take I-10 north to exit 203 then go south 1.1
miles on S.
Toltec R. Turn west on W. Battaglia Dr. Take Battaglia
Dr 3.0 miles to S. Sunland Gin Rd. Go south 2.1 miles on Sunland Gin Rd to
the start area.
From Phoenix take I-10 south to exit 200 then go south 5.1
miles on S.
Sunland Gin Rd to the start area.

A flat out and back time trial with 20 k and 40 k options.
The course is out and back with less than 50 feet of
elevation change, straight with one turn.
This is the same course used in the Arizona Cotton Classic
(formerly Lerua's Time Trial Series).

Pick up your number, sign your release and verify your
license at Arizona Cyclist , Saturday, September 10th
from 1 PM to 4 PM, or on race-day starting at 6:00 AM at the start line area.

All riders must pick up his or her own number and sign the
release form. |

Awards |
Winners of each Category will receive a free Arizona State
Championship jersey or certificate for reimbursement. Winners of a jersey must have a yearly USA Cycling license.
One-Day license holders will not be eligible for a medal or
a jersey. All racers must race in their own category.
No racing up or down categories. USA Cycling State
Championship medals will be awarded to the top three racers
in each category that hold yearly racing licenses; 4th and
5th place receive nice ribbons.
Trophies awarded to the fastest times the following events:
- Male
40km
- Female 40km
- Masters
Male 20km
- Masters
Female 20km
- Junior
Male 20km
- Junior
Female 20km.
There is a
special trophy for the fastest male and female and a cash
prize of $200 will be awarded! |

There will be a bin at the registration desk, where you pick
up your number to donate your gently used cycling equipment,
parts, bikes and clothing.

Course Marking |
Start Line: White Tape.
FINISH LINE: Is about 1/2 mile South of Start with a White
Tape Line.
Going South or outbound each 5 K is marked with a sign.
Going North or on the home stretch there are 5 K, 1K and 200 meters signs. |
